FAQ

Why does the test sometimes stop after about 10 seconds and sometimes needs over a minute to complete?

If the battery passes the cranking test, that only takes about 10 seconds, it starts the Conductance Profiling test. This takes approximately 60 seconds to complete.

Please note the Conductance Profiling test is intended to examine the battery its reserve capacity. This test is not performed in the New Battery test.

I think it’s annoying to keep the Power On button pressed for a long time to start the tool. Is there a quicker way?

Yes, just connect to a 12V battery. The tool will power on immediately. After disconnecting it, it will also automatically turn off after a while.

Why can’t I continue my battery test, while it’s saying it detects system noise or electrical activity?

To have an accurate test result, the electrical circuit needs to be in rest. The CPX detects system noise automatically and will not perform the test if that would influence the result. Just make sure to close all vehicle doors, have the ignition switched off and keep the keys out of reach and test again after a while.

It may take some time for the vehicle to get inactive.
